Bloodlines
When the Aberdeen-Angus Bred was founded in Scotland, cattle and breeders were few in number. Each breeder knew his own cattle as well as those of other breeders and thus did not find it necessary to keep accurate written records. In time the breeders of Aberdeen-Angus grew in number until they no longer could depend on the sketchy records they once used.
